Description

Foggy amber colour, good off-white head. Nose: pine, honey, light ale yeast, citrusy hints. Medium body. Average carbonation. Taste: bittersweet, malty start and hoppy ending. Medium minus bitterness. A middle-of-the-road old school IPA. Unfortunately not the freshest one.

Picked up from Edeka Stein Park Freising and consumed at home Saturday 22nd June 2019. Pours murky puddle brown with a light beige head. Smoke, old leather and a some sticky fruits but with a little tang also a little caramel adds to this. Very soft in the mouth, good beer, I really like this, decent smokiness. It's not bad.

Bottle picked up at Edeka, Stein Park Freising. Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 20th June 2019 listening to Aldous Harding - Designer , tonight we're having 2-3 different homemade curries. Pours hazy mid brown, good clarity, fruity, tangy, more citrussy with a little underbelly of caramel. Good but not really my favourite style unless it has raspberries steeped in it.

Bottle picked up from Edeka, Stein Park Freising, and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Tuesday 18th June 2019 whilst listening to Steve Lamaq on 6 Music and cooking a Thai Red Curry. Pours conker brown with a light tan head, toffee and a little chocolate (dark cocoa powder) on the nose. Malty and with some toffee in the mouth, dark brown soft sugar (demerara I guess). It's fine if a little one dimensional.

Bottle picked up from Edeka, Stein Park Freising, and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Tuesday 18th June 2019 whilst listening to Steve Lamaq on 6 Music and cooking a Thai Red Curry. Pours mid brown with a head that swiftly departs. Some toffee, malty, sweet and quite straightforward. This is not unlike a malty bitter, that isn't at all bitter. Ok but my least favourite of the range so far, though perhaps that suggests that Marzen is a little lower down on the scale of my likes.

Bottle picked up from Edeka, Stein Park, Freising and consumed at home Sunday 16th June 2019 whilst cooking Spinach and Ricotta Canelloni and listening to the Bodega - Endless Scroll album from a couple of years ago. This is a jolly decent golden summer ale, hoppiness is solid, bitterness and sweetness are in harmony. Light fruity beer, I like it,as indeed do I like most that I've had this weekend from this producer.

Can picked up from Edeka, Stein Park, Freising and consumed at home Sunday 16th June 2019 whilst cooking Spinach and Ricotta Canelloni and listening to the new Aldous Harding album Designer. Pours hazy light/mid gold with a white head, really hoppy nose and hoppy in the mouth. Clean, easy drinking beer with a nice bitterness. I really like this and finished it in no time. I suspect that this is not really sticking to the template but it's up my street.

Bottle picked up at Edeka, Stein Park, Freising Saturday 15th June 2019 and consumed the same day, listening to the W.H.Lung album and having just prepared some lemon chicken for the BBQ tonight. Pours light gold with a white head, a little banana on the nose, Loz picked this up straight away. Soft mouthfeel but an instantly spicy and bitter bite. I like this its a decent saison, fruity.
