Beautiful dark amber color; generous and creamy head. The aroma is mild; there is some caramel, malt, candi sugar, egg pastries. Some caramel flavor, but the mouthfeel is too dry and unsweet for a Märzen; the bitterness is quite high, even too much in the end, and there is a light presence of apples (some problem with the fermentation or lagering). Boring.

Yellow color, with a straw hue. The aroma is mild, with mainly an herbaceous character, with a very light lemony touch; not enough to be interesting. The mouthfeel is dry and smooth, and the body is not too weak; there is a moderate malt and cereals flavor, with a light chamomile touch, and a quite strong bitterness.
As it’s difficult to make an interesting Kölsch, this one is not alone among the boring ones.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is toffee, mild toasted malts, some fruits as well as some mild berrylike notes. Flavour is quite similar. A bit thin in the palate.

Dark nut brown color, steady good beige head. Caramel, dark bread, maybe some cellary notes in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Bready, some dark candy (licorice), toasted rye in the flavor. Quite bready and more simple than nice bottle indicates :)

Bottle. Cloudy red, golden cream. Pitch and juniper aroma. Peach and burned banana fruityness, burned leaves and tar smokyness, wood-smoke and marzipan retronasal. berry notes. Creamy mouthfee, chewy. not bad at all.

Bottle. Spicy malt and grassy/herbal hop aroma. Chestnut, big off-white creamy head. Roasted grain, chocolate and cocoa flavors are nicely dialed in, slight dry molassis hole in the center, good bitter hop profile to counter. Sparkly mouthfeel, medium body. Pleasant fresh and flavorfull, nice Schwarzbier.

Bottle. Pine hop and orangepeel aroma. Cloudy milky orange, lacing offwhite layer. Fruity mango, banana and orange entry, wheatbread maltyness, grassy and citric hops in the finish. lightbodied, thin, mealy. Tastes like they describe it: A overattenuated wheatbeer with Cascade thrown after it. If you crave hoppy wheaty get a Schneider Hopfenweisse instead.

Der Antrunk wird vom Hopfen dominiert, weich, herb, vorerst nur wenig bitter. Dabei gehen vom Hopfenfruchtige und blumige Noten aus, Zitrus, wenig hefig, dafür im Abgang sehr trocken. Danaben steigert sich der Hopfen und die Bitterkeit im Abgang aber weiter. Sehr gut! 9/12/12/13/12/12

Zu Beginn zeigen sich helle Hefenoten, der Hopfen ist stark, bleibt aber weich. Darin enthalten ist eine passende, nicht übermäßig starke Bitternote. Der Hopfen bzw. die daraus entstehende Grasigkeit steigert sich im Mittelteil deutlich, die Bitterkeit passt sich an, bleibt aber erfrulicherweise hinter dem Hopfen zurück. Leichte Fruchtnoten von Banane. Zum Ende wird das Bier dunkler und deutlich trocken, die grasige Note sticht dabei erneut hervor. Dezent holziges Finish. Ein gelungenes IPA! 12/11/12/11/13/11

Wie viel CO2 ist zuviel? Auf jeden Fall soviel wie in diesem Bier ist. Nach einiger Standzeit ist das Bier trinkbar, ein malzig-hopfiges gemisch offenbart sich, wobei das Malz klar überlegen ist und brotige und röstige Noten verbreitet. Der Hopfen sorgt für frische und wirkt den Röstnoten entgegen, die sonst möglicherweise verbrannt wirken würden. Zum Ende überwiegt der Hopfen, kurz dahinter das breite und nun brotigere Malz. Viel zu viel CO2, ansonsten sehr gut! 10/11/12/12/12/12
