Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy golden with a very lively and frothy white head leaving some lacework. Spicy and heavily phenollic aroma. Medium, tart fruit, heavy chemicals and plastic, violent carbonation. No real bitterness. Terribly off. 160912

0.33l bottle @ The George and Dragon, Barcelona. This is a near clear caramel brown one, lot's of floaters and sediments, and it has a bubbly light beige head. It smells of ripe sweet fruits, banana sweetness and red/green apples. I get tones of candy and brown sugar, some mild boozy tones - but surprisingly subtle for such a high abv beer. Hints or dried raisins and figs. Really not that bad this aroma! Oh, it's so tasty! Skin of almond dryness pledging in my mouth, it has raisins, sweet dates, nuts and ripe apples. My this was really good! Full-bodied with a average carbonation level. Strong, but still so balanced! In the aftertaste it feels like a mix between a quad and a dubbel. Perhaps the best Spanish beer I've tasted. 09.08.2012
