Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Modest head of foamy cream and foggy orange liquid. Big fruit wine on the nose, tannins, yeast, grapes, great. Flavour is muddy and heavy fruit skin, peeled aubergine, papaya mushed and fermented, sweet potato, parsnip dunked in green tea. Wet finish. Invisible alcohol. A more vegetable DIPA which is nice for those who are not sold on candied beer.

On tap at Opal, Madrid. Pours black with small beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, milky, sweet, some vanilla, bit sticky, smooth. Medium to full bodied. It's quite good, but certainly not the best imperial stout out there as the scores suggest.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2018-april thanks to Teddybeer] @ home. Clear golden color with a medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, bitter hops, grapefruit bitter. Body is decent, carbonation is firm. Hmm ok.
