Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.

Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottle. Smell is hoppy, mildly aromatic, somewhat dry bitter (grassy) decent intensity. Taste is strong, intense bitter. Overly bitter, one might say. I miss the counterbalance by aroma a bit ( aroma is featured, but much less in perspective ) some maltyness, but also here, it would be a better beer if it were intenser. Decent mf and carbo. A good beer for straight up IBU hunters, but I prefer more balance in those extreme bitter beers.

Bottle. Smell is intense. Pure, green hops , cascade, perhaps ? Some notes I recognize from Target , but not sure which ones are actually in here ( if ever the brewers would read, I’m interested to find out !) Taste is intense , strong bitterness, some green hops , providing a herbal, spicy, grassy character. Mild pine in the back, as well as some floral, fruity notes. Very impressive IPL. Very good mf and carbo. Not weaker than a IPA, on the contrary. This is an IPL that really does what it promisses , aka being even more about the hops than an IPA. Hurray ! I personally do not get the yuzu, which is all to nice as it is really blended in to complexity, not overpowering. No clue what the other things even are ( sakure might be a flower ? Sachimi togorashi is something I never heard of ) note : the previously unclear aspects seem to floculate quite a bit. If you reach the end of the bottle ( the sediment ) a very fruitfull, complex, creamy blend of tastes awaits you. Giving the beer yet another dimention, making it even better. Holy hell, this is a magnificent brew !
