Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.

Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks troubles. Golden. Nice fruity, "green", grassy/herbal hops aroma. Rather dry flavor with slightly sweetish crackery malt, and nice lingering bitter, fruity, herbal and grassy hops. Rather light-bodied.

Bottle 330ml (BB 13.01.2018). Completely black with beige head, nice lacing. Mega chocolate, cocoa, small note of coffee and a bit nutty in aroma. Roasty and chocolate in taste with quite big booze, warms a lot and burns in the throat but in nice, aggressive way. Beer is full body, dry with sweetness in aftertaste.

Medium offwhite creamy lasting head. Hazy yellow body. Mealy tropical fruit aroma with resiny floral notes. Dry resiny wooden taste with mealy pineapple notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny pineapple aftertaste with toffee notes. Aftertaste kind of fades out into nothing, but the rest is fresh, balanced, and drinkable. Very nice. (0.5l draft at El Tap, Barcelona.)
