Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottle from Boxbeers. Pour carefully if you’re not a fan of the big lumps of yeast in the bottle. Maybe they’re referring to the yeast, when they call it Food Ale - those are big enough to pass for half a meal. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, lemon, light spicy and yeasty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish with a hint of salt. 220816

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.1%. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Huge beige head that lasts "forever". Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse and red wine, hints of chocolate. Fairly smooth and moderately roasty flavour with notes of chocolate and mild coffee, also brett notes, but not really sour. Pleasant to drink.

Draught @ BierBier. Poured yellow color with almost no head. Lime, citrus fruit juice in both aroma and flavor. Some tartness. Refreshing brew, like drinking lemonade.

Draught @ Bier-Bier, Helsinki. Pours yellowish with a smooth head. Aroma of tart passion fruit, tropical notes, hints of citrus and lemon. Taste is tartish, juicy and slightly tart with some passion fruit, stuffy yeastiness and earthiness. Finish is crisp, slightly tart and earthy with some hints of passion fruit and berries. A bit stuffy.

Bottle at a tasting. Almost black, oily. Sweet, lots of chocolate, dried fruits, caramel. Warming alcohol present. Roastiness is surprisingly absent, hops bitterness low as well. Good, but slightly off balance.

Pours a very hazy light yellow color, topped wit ha small and non-lasting white head. Lots of chunks, big ones, floating around - not a pretty sight. Quite lemony nose with some olive oil feel to it. Little grainy. Taste is herbal bittery with some citruses. Very light body. Fresh nose and fresh taste. medium lasting aftertaste. Couldn’t really pick up saffron. But quite lemony.
