Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

330ml bottle, sampled March 2016. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma: dark malts, dark chocolate, caramel, some leather, iodine peat hints. Taste: moderate sweet with light dryness, caramel and chocolate, oak, whisky barrel, light peat vibes. Medium to full body with soft carbonation. Decent

330 ml bottle. Unclear cloudy yellow, quickly disappearing head. Passionfruit, lime, lactic acid, a bit cabbage juice, some fructose and red currant. Medium acidic sourness, slightly sweet. Light bodied, oily watery texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry sour fruity finish. Nice, fruity and very easy going.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a fizzy, white head. Complex aroma, lactic tartness but deeper - probably from the kombucha. Light body, lactic tart and super dry - overly fizzy. It's hard to describe, but the kombucha adds an extra layer of complexity here which is quite pleasant. Good for warmer days, but does it really have to be this fizzy? 040121

Keg at the Great British Beer Festival 2019 - London. Pours deep black-brown with a foamy, mocha topping. Big chocolate character, light green pepper, well roasted malts, smoke, ash, espresso. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a touch sticky, more dark malt character, cocoa, coffee, lingering roast. Nice one overall.

Bottle at Delicatessen, Bod. Has a slightly hazy red colour with a small light beige head. Aroma of sweet cake, raspberries, hay, wheat, diacetyl and apricots. Flavour of concentrated raspberry candy, wheat, heather and some diacetyl. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. Pretty fruity flavour. Interesting ale but too bad with the diacetyl.

Bottle. A hazy pale golden colored beer with a small white head. The aroma has lots of passionfruit, some pale malts, bread, lemon notes and some berry notes. It's medium bodied and dry on the palate, nicely carbonated and with flavors of passionfruit, elderflower and some bread and pale malts. Long fruity finish with a lemony sourish touch. A refreshing and quite decent one. 201211
