Description
In 2012 it happened that Johannes Heidenpeter, master brewer and owner of Heidenpeters, was allowed to enjoy an English porter by chance. He liked it so much that he started brewing at home, experimented a little and delighted his friends and acquaintances with great beers. The decision to open his own micro-brewery quickly grew in him. The trained artist, who graduated from the art college in Berlin, finally got to know the operators of the Markthalle Neun in Berlin-Kreuzberg and had them taste his beers. They were also immediately enthusiastic and an agreement was reached. With some borrowed money, Johannes went to work and tinkered with his own small brewery. In the meantime, Johannes Heidenpeter brews his creations on a small scale directly in the cellar of the Markthalle Neun.

Bottle, 75cl. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a white head. Pale malt notes, resins and some citrus peel. Rather bitter in the mouth, dry and with a bit hard carbonation. Pale malts, lemon peel and citrus flavors. Medium body. Mostly bitter finish. A decent one, but far from my favourite IPA. Itβs sort of unbalanced, and lacks complexity. 130215
