Bottle on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Christmas jolly day 1. Pours clear yellow with a creamy, white head. Very simple, some sugary cereal, hints of alcohol, white bread, mild fruity tones, dough. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish with very faint hay bitterness, further cereal. Meh.

Bottle on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Christmas jolly day 1. Pours clear, pale yellow with a flimsy head. Simple radler with syrupy lemon sweetness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, some basic lemon fruitiness. A bit cloying but not totally objectionable.

Bottle (from Rewe Freising), on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Xmas jolly day 1 - 24/01/14. Lightly hazed pale golden with a good sized white head that thins but retains. Nose is pale malts, straw, brad dough, light citrus. Taste comprises candied sugar, a caramel vein, bready, grassy. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitter notes in a sweetish closure. Ok Helles.

Bottle (from Rewe Freising), on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Xmas jolly day 1 - 24/01/14 (Happy Birthday Mum !). WOW - the handwriting in my notebook is clear at this point ! Pale golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is lemon sherbet, grass, classic shandy waftings. Taste comprises light cereals, grass, citric tinge, lemon. Light bodiment, fine carbonation, crisp refreshing finish. Decent enough radler.

Dunkel rötlichbraun mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr süß nach Cola. Geschmack süß klebrig nach Cola, von Bier ist nichts zu schmecken.

Bottle on Train on Bamberg Jolly Day 1 24/1/14. Aroma is sweet nutty pils, lager yeast notes. Crystal clear yellow coloured pour with a small white head with big bubbles. Flavour is clean pils , slightly nutty, grain cereal. Some metalic, tinny in the finish. . Quite thin palate.

Bottle on Train on Bamberg Jolly Day 1 24/1/14. Aroma is sweet grains, creal fake lemon, lemon cif. Very pale yellow green coloured pour fleeting white head. Very thin watery palate. Flavour is lemon dominant, lemon cif. mild carbonation. Finish is sweet.

Bamberg Bash, Day 1. Train bottle swig. Almost clear pale gold beer, decent white head. Palate is light and slightly soft, semi dry. Clean malt. Very light hop bitterness and spice. Semi dry finish. Not bad.

Der Antrunk ist süßlich-vollmundig, süffig, aber komisch-süßlich. Insgesamt hat dieses Bier etwas komisches, schwierig zu definierendes an sich. Es ist ganz leicht herb, der Nachgeschmack ist ziemlich schnell weg und sehr muffig.
--> komisches, muffig-süßes Bier. Für mich nicht sonderlich spannend!
