Bottle. Cloudy amber, golden head. Minerally yeasty and light peachy aroma. Earthy peppery base, fruitnotes of banana and peach, light clove and spice finish. Mellow sparkly mouthfeel, medium body. Fairly nice.

Swing-top bottle. Clear pale golden initially - You have to fight the yeast out of the bottle for the Zwickl look. Strawlike light minerally aroma. Lightbodied, a bit straw malt, minimal fruity yeast, mostly minerals. Not exiting.

Etwas flach insgesamt. Test vom 21.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,9,9,10,10,9 - 8,80

Bottle (330ml): Pale golden coloured, small, quite stable fluffy white head; mainly cardboardy nose, mixed with some sweet malt; slightly bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; cardboardy, almost musty finish wit a dry, grassy bitterness. Neither "würzig" (spicy) nor well balanced.....cough !

(33cl bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy, foamy white head, slowly lacing. Slightly sweet malty, herbal and light-grassy hoppy aroma with a tinge of citrus. Medium-bitter flavour, light-bodied, quite watery mouthfeel. Malty, lightly grainy initial taste with an underlying, rather unpleasant bitterness, dry, light bitter and hoppy finish with a grainy aftertaste.

Bottle: Pale golden coloured, small, but stable white head; sweet-cardboardy nose with some fruity undertones; delicate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied; bitter-sweet-grainy finish. This dwarf-fireman (a weak pun: "löschen" means to extinct or to quench) is really no giant...........

Test vom 18.7.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,8,12,8,10,8 - 8,50

A light yellow beer with a huge white head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty with a light touch of caramel.
