Bottle. Cloudy dark amber-brown with a nice big beige head. Pleasant aroma of banana, dark bread, caramel, a bit of toast, bubblegum and a spicy note. Sweet and slightly tart flavor with fruit esters, malt, dark bread, mild toastiness, caramel, a bubblegum note, light citric hints and a slightly spicy finish. Medium-bodied. A decent Dunkelweizen.

Draft. From notes. Fruity and yeasty. Pretty standard hefe, nothing really out of the ordinary here.

On tap at the Rivermill Tavern, Eaton Socon. Golden orange and cloudy, a thin off-white head crowning the pint. Bubbelgum with a bit of banana bread. Taste is surprisingly sweet, and the alcohol is very present. It tastes far stronger than 5.4%. I’m not keen.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 03.04.2015
Aroma has cardboard and grainy malt – feels heavy. Also some hay and forage(!) Flavour has forage, cardboard, grainy malt and minerals. What I wanted was something refreshing, but this just feels heavy and malty. Not good, reminds me of Störtebeker Bernstein-Weizen Alkoholfrei.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with medium white creamy head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, pear, cloves and banana. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light acidic Body is light oily to creamy with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and sweet with notes of malt, brown sugar, caramel, cookies, yeast, yoghurt, lime, green grapes, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, banana and pineapple. Nice rich weissbier.

Very average german weizener. Wheaty and yeasty, with some fruity notes. Bit too sweet for my taste.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ the local Plus supermarket. Hazy dark yellow with a huge white head. Familiar banana and cloves aroma. Rather thin taste, not the full creamy mouthfeel like other classic hefeweizens. Still, a decent enough weizen.

Smooth and sweetish beginning. The beer is watery and sweetish. Not very easy to drink. The aftertaste is smooth, sweet, malty with hints of yeast and lots of water! 5/10/4/5
