Description
After years of talking about it as a family, the decision is taken in 2015/16 to make brewing the new family business. The family travel to various brewery manufactures and finally place an order for the system that is now in place in Kilcoole.Equipment starts arriving and the brewery is built and commissioned. Late 2017, test beers are put out at the Irish craft beer festival at the RDS. In 2018 Larkin’s formally launches into the market at the Alltech beer festival in March. Larkin’s is now distributed in pubs across Ireland as well as exporting to other markets in the EU.

Can. Black. Chocolate, caramel and vanilla in the aroma. Sweet, full bodied, roast, caramel and vanilla in the flavor. The alcohol of bourbon. Nice.

Can. A finger-thick off-white head leaves some curtains over a hazy golden-orange colored body. The aroma is piney and grapefruity, with some orange hints and a touch of malts in the back. It's a bit thin on the palate, dry and with a good bitterness. Grapefruit, pine cones, resins and a light backdrop of pale malts in the flavor. Long finish. A pleasant beer, but too thin and too gentle. 201107

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Crocheted lacing on the glass from a firm white head, cloudy warm golden body. Inviting smell of citrus, scent of orange to the forefront. Citrus flavours, including orange and grapefruit added by a touch of spruce. Citrus peels to a decent bitter ending. Likable. (Tromsø 31.10.2020).

Orange with a medium head. Aroma of candies and orange. Flavour is full sugar tropical fruits, faint hint of coffee. Sticky fruit fruit finish.

Can. yellow color. Peach, pineapple, mango and green tea in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with lots of citrus and tropical fruit, green tea and floral, herbal notes.
