Description
After years of talking about it as a family, the decision is taken in 2015/16 to make brewing the new family business. The family travel to various brewery manufactures and finally place an order for the system that is now in place in Kilcoole.Equipment starts arriving and the brewery is built and commissioned. Late 2017, test beers are put out at the Irish craft beer festival at the RDS. In 2018 Larkin’s formally launches into the market at the Alltech beer festival in March. Larkin’s is now distributed in pubs across Ireland as well as exporting to other markets in the EU.

First rating of 2019 ... can at home from drinkstore.ie, 01/01/19. Hazed orange amber with a well presented cream cap. Nose is mellow coffee, orange pith, grapefruit, tropical fruit esters, light pine. Taste comprises coffe grinds, melon, orange pith, papaya, grass, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close spiked with gentle coffee grinds and juicy hop bitterness. Solid coffee infused DIPA ... well balanced and quaffable ... one of the best coffee hopsters I've encountered.
