Danke Friedi! Smooth mild beginning. Easy to drink, slightly grainy, very soft with a mild finish. Sessionable, slightly grainy, fruity mild in the finish. 0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (Hagen), best before March 2024. Murky, brownish red with a few off-white bubbles on top of it. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and slightly spicy aroma of caramel, honey, pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger and clove. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite herbal-spicy and moderately fruity taste of caramel, honey, pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger and clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally tart finish. Medium body, a little astringent mouthfeel, a bit fizzy carbonation. Decent brew with decent flavours but also with minor flaws regarding appearance and mouthfeel.

Bottle: Pale golden, a bit unclear, small but stable white foamy layer, mainly herbal-grassy nose, sweet pale malty spots underneath; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, quite soft at least; herbal-hoppy finish with mild resinous traces. Not bad, surely better than Your classical german industrial Pils...

0.33 l bottle from local 'Marktschwärmer', 5.8% abv, best before March 2021. Almost clear, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity-resiny aroma of marmelade, caramel, pine and some tobacco. Quite sweet, malty, rather fruity-resiny taste of molasses, pine, marmelade, some tobacco and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, gently bitter, resiny and moderately dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Really tasty beer, reminds me of Anchor's Brekle's Brown, quite American taste-wise, far away from all those boring nutty-chocolatey English-style Brown Ales. Astonishing brew, probably the most interesting one which ever descended from Hagen's open-air museum.

0.5 l bottle from 'transfer.', best before November 2018. Clear, golden with a medium large, dense, stable, white head. Very faint, slightly sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy and minimally fruity aroma of fresh grass, some grains and traces of lemon peel. Slightly sweet, mildly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, just slightly bitter, faintly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, very smooth and just a little effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very mild for a Pils, lacks the typical grassy hoppiness of a good one, highly drinkable nevertheless but way too expensive for what it is.
