Heller, überhöht karbonisierter Antrunk. Milder, eher bitterer als aromatischer Hopfen, im Mittelteil trocken werdend. Dies stört die Spritzigkeit erheblich, die eh milde Hopfigkeit kommt kaum noch durch. Minimal getreidig. Geht so. 11/8/7/8//8

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy, brownish amber with a white head. A bit sweetish, moderately fruity and slightly resiny aroma of caramel, peach and some grapefruit. Sweetish, slightly bitter, fruity and a little resiny taste of grapefruit, peach and some caramel, followed by a short, medium bitter, a bit resiny and slightly dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy aroma of fresh grass, citrus and some grains. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of citrus, fresh grass and some grains, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite grassy and slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

On tap at the brewpub as ’Benno’s Dunkles’. Hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, a bit of nuts and some piney hops. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts and some piney hops, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but not what you would expect from a Dunkel.

Tap(@Benno’s WItten anne Ruhr): Deep golden, cloudy, bigger creamy off-white head, leaving rings on the glass; mildly bitter dryish herbal-piney nose, yeast and pale malt underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied, not too soft; lingering drish piney-bitter finish with some balancing pale malt. Nice surprise…

Tap(@ Benno’s Brauhaus): Deep golden, hazy to cloudy,loose off-white head; moderate yeasty and flowery-bitter nose; quite dry bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied, quite soft; lingering flowery-bitter and yeasty and a bit malty finish. Well…

Tap(@Benno Bräu, WIT): Pale golden, hazy to cloudy, creamy and slowly collapsing off-white head, lively carbonation, dryish herbal to flowery hoppy nose, delicate malty background; dry. Bitter flavour, light bodied, quite fizzy; lingering dry herbal-hoppy finish. Very good by german Hausbrauerei standards, but lacks a bit a maltier body…

Hell hopfig-malziger Beginn, Bier und hefig. Mild würzig, die Hefigkeit bleibt auch im Mittelteil stark. Eher kurzer Nachhall. 10/8/9/8//8

On tap at the brewpub. Smooth mild yeasty beginning. Round and fresh, mild, very smooth. Nice yeast with a mild malty smooth body. Great and fresh, smooth with not too much sweetness. Great mild smooth aftertaste. Well made brew! Smooth and slightly grainy.
