Purple colour, and the aroma has a lot of cherry. Very juicy cherry character, with a mild tartness. Fairly full body. Abundant cherry, this has very high fruit density. It leaves lots of acidity, and a little bit of sugar. The other thing here is that it rolls right over the base beer. Excellent quality.

750ml (thx, Josh for bringing it and Ryan for the sponsorship 😂) @ SF.
Aroma: mix of rustic notes and bold cherries.
Taste: along the same lines.
Overall: not overly complex or impressive, but it is a nicely balanced.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark purple with a small pink head. Aroma is full of musty dark cherries, wild yeast, and a touch of oak. Flavour has a potent cherry expression, musty wild yeast underneath, and some earthy oak. Plenty of tannin-like character from the cherry expression, but it's actually not overly complex. Finishes dry, fruity, and wild. Very good.

Poured from 750mL bottle (bottled 11/07/2024). Dark reddish purple with dissipating pink head. Feint cherry, dry, tannic, lightly vinous character, okay.

750ml (thx, Josh, foe getting this during the special dale at the brewery!) @ SF.
Aroma: funky, apples, some rustic notes.
Taste: along the same lines, has both characteristics of cider and a farmhouse saison.
Overall: very nicely integration of apples and funky saison, cool.

Hazy, soft bretty aroma with a mellow appley note. Right now, the apples are still fairly prominent, an off-dry finish. Good cidery character, quite a lot of tannins in the finish. The bretty saison is there, then there's also a lot of alcohol, that comes out more than usual for Floodland, along with more tartness. I like this.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some toffee apple, rustic saison yeast, and a touch of wild yeast. Flavour is very apple-y and messy, with toffee apple, light funk, some chaotic booziness, and rustic saison yeast. Rather messy and lacking integration compared to Floodland’s standards. Strange apple character that just doesn’t work for me.

Poured from 750mL bottle (bottle 07/06/2023). Hazy yellow with small white head. Appley with mild funk character, soft saison yeast in the background. Interesting blend, decent.

750mL bottle. Pours very murky mahagony with a pink head. Tons of intense cherries and strong earthy yeast on the nose. Flavour has lots of earthy, musty cherries, spicy saison yeast. Finish is a bit on the lighter side, but the integration between the cherries and the base saison needs work, especially tapering off near the end.

750mL bottle. Pours murky blonde with a white head. Nice saison yeast and some apples on the nose. Flavour has a lot of rustic saison yeast and a less-than-stellar fermented apple character; like the apples were thrown in halfway through as an afterthought. Lacks the cohesion of a graff. The apples kind of taint the beer, leaving a long, slightly bitter aftertaste. Below what I would normally expect from Floodland.
