Description
The idea started an afternoon in London when Nicolas Pavlakis from Paros and Marinos Alexandrou from London were dreaming about beer and Paros. You don't get too many warm afternoons in London, as you do in the Greek islands. A craft beer that you would enjoy under the sun of the Aegean. Rich in flavour, crisp and joyful. Brewed in our beloved Paros and named in honour of all the 56 Isles of the Cyclades, cosmopolitan, with beautiful landscape and the warmth of the people.

In the first months of 2016 the final stage of production was completed and from April the first beer, a light pilsner, "56isles" was released to the highly anticipating Paros market. The microclimate of the area and the use of barley grown on the island gives a special flavour to the beer. The saltiness of the sea, the sunshine and the quality of the raw materials used add to the taste, highlighting the specific taste characteristics whilst the use of quality hop varieties from different countries and malt with highly aromatic and tasty character reveal the individual components of the recipe.

33cl Bottle from a local delicacy shop in Ermoupolis. New brewery, another lager... Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of wort, bread, sweet malts, some veggies, corn. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, wort, bread, light veggies, hint of lemon, light bitter finish. Light bodied. Adds nothing to the Greek beer scene, except for the fact that it’s from Paros.
