Tap at University of Beer in Vacaville, CA. Pours brassy gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of citrus and light caramel. More malt than hop. Med plus body. Flavor of heavy pale caramel with light citrus and yeast/spice. Light heat. Not quite dry, but not sweet. Lightly bitter. Quite tasty.

Opaque black, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is roast, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, oak. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Rich, integrated barrel, not overly sweet. Full body. Actually pretty nice. 5,8,8,4,15

From a can. Pours clear amber-orange with white head that fades to a collar. Resin, pine and citrus aroma. Flavor is similar. A bit cloying and with slight alcohol burn. Resin and fruit can be squeezed out of the tongue. A throwback and a classic west coaster.

Can from January 25, 2021. Pours a hazy deep orange with pure white head that is moderate and fades to a cap. Moderate lacing down the glass. Aromas and flavor of citrus and flavor backed up by wheat malt. Moderate bittering.
