Description
Bøgedal is Scandinavia’s only all-gravity brewery and is boiled over an open fire using local wood as fuel. Bøgedal’s brewing method is an attraction in itself, since the brew flows freely (all gravity), from vat to vessel, without pumping, creating different levels by use of hand-powered hoists and pulleys.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, roasted malt, licorice. Taste: Very creamy, very smooth and bit dense mouthfeel. Roasted malt, hints of licorice, warming chili pepper hints towards and at th finish. Medium sweet, molasses (muskovado), Moderate bitter, somewhat more bitterness and some cocoa at long lasting sweetish finish. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Another great one from this brewery. Certainly no standard Stout. Great complexity and balance, as expected from this brewery.
