About
Brouwerij De Vriendschap werd in 2013 opgericht door Aart van Bergen en Peter Harms. In eerste instantie maakte de brouwerij gebruik van de brouwfaciliteiten van de Sallandse Landbier Brouwerij in Raalte. In de loop van 2014 opende de brouwerij haar eigen brouwerij in de kleedkamers van het voormalig sportpark De Melkweg. Eind 2015 begon Aart van Bergen zijn eigen brouwerij Walhalla Craft Beer. In 2016 staakte Peter Harms zijn brouwactiviteiten.

Bottle at THT. Pours dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma of weedy hops, light herbs, roast and light fruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Sampled from bottle @ Hey Julien is back and Dean’s floor is moist tasting. Hazy dark orange color, average to medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, some bitter, hops, mostly bitter hops. Meh.

Bottle at THT thanks to Deanso. Pours hazy amber brown with a big off white head. Aroma of grassy hops, herbs, light citrus. Flavour is above light sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

On tap @ Kimchi festival 2015. Murky brown color. Dense light beige head, sticky. Aroma’s: wet hop, herbal, yeasty, caramel. Retronasal it’s caramel, wet hop, moderate bitter. Flavor is moderate bitter-moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes with caramel, moderate bitter. Very nice.

On tap @ Arendsnest (sample). Pale golden color, cloudy. Dense white head with good retention. Aroma’s: malty sweetness, grains, sour fruit, caramel. More sour fruit and caramel retronasal plus some bretty funk. Flavor is moderate sweet, light bitter, light bretty. Medium bodied. Finishes dry with increasing bitterness. Nice enough beer, I detected some brett, don’t know whether that was intentional.

Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Sehr trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, reifes Obst, Karamell, leich phenolisch. Geschmack bananig süß, Karamell, reifes Obst.
