Description
Offering unique hop-forward ales, crisp lagers, barrel-aged rarities and one of the Northwest’s most extensive wild & sour programs, Block 15 produces a range of artfully crafted beers, brewed with a nod toward fresh ingredients and fresh thinking.

We began serving up fine beer and food at our downtown Corvallis brewpub in 2008, and have since opened up a European-style pub—Caves Bier & Kitchen—as well as the Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room in south Corvallis. We are proud to have remained brewer-owned from day one.

Our 20bbl production brewery, built in 2015 and located in the shadow of the coastal range in south Corvallis, is the workhorse of our brewing operations. In addition to an increased-capacity brewhouse, our production brewery houses custom-designed Uni-tanks, a custom-fabricated mixing tank, a Meheen bottling line, and a Wild Goose canning line.

473mL can. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Loads of dank, resinous hops and some piney notes on the nose. Flavour is very oily and dank, plenty of resins, some pine sap; more of a pot-like character than I normally expect from WC hops. Very clean and biting. Very nice.

Some haze, decent head. Pale. Hop-forward aroma is grassy, some allium. On the palate, there's a medium bitterness. The hops are weedy, grapefruity, nice ctz character, sweet pale malts. A bit of alcohol note coming into the finish. Good complexity if you want, but if you don't, it's well-balanced.

16 oz. can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is indeed dank, with plenty of diesel, some pine, citrus zest, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is extremely dank and pot-like, with lots of dank, piney hops, citrus zest, lots of diesel fumes, and a dry, pale biscuity malt base. Dank, pot-like, diesel-pine finish, with a dry malt base. Moderately bitter for the style. I was reticent seeing the name that this would be another egregious terpene-infused IPA, but was glad to see the dankness was created just from hops. Excellent.

Pale and a bit of haze, with a decent head and nice effervescence. Nice, bright NZ hop on the nose, full of fir tips, peach, pear, and a little bit of kumquat. On the palate, really nice. Fairly robust pale malt, blending well with a rich hop bitterness and an abundance of flavours akin to the aroma. This shit is 3 1/2 months old - I almost didn't buy it - and it's this good. Nice and fuck.

Wtf is this batched? It's a different beer each time. Vol. 3 will be an alias of one of the earlier editions but it's not a fucking batch. Now I have to unpack this shit.

Bright, pale gold. Toasty malt, biscuits, the hops being a resinous pine thing, maybe with a touch of grapefruit.

Glass shared with Josh and Phill during a mini-trip organized to help carless Phill pick up his Tavour bottles, some of which had been waiting for him for about a year, hehe.
Aroma: dank, bold, a bit citrusy.
Taste: very weird, extremely grassy and like a dried salted fish! Wtf?!
Overall: weird one.
