Bottled 330ml. -from Kézműves Csemege Budapest. Nice clear amber coloured, small off-white head, strong caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, sugary and caramel with hint of acidic fruits in the finish. Overal too sweet.

So, a lager with Tokaji Aszú - basically a lighter version of Korty in much more pretentious packaging. Any good? Well, it poured a lovely bronze/copper/amber body, clear, with a small off white head that went away relatively fast. Bit darker than the wine but hey. Nose? No grapes present, caramel, dust, no fruitiness. The fruitiness do pop up in the taste, but only in form of fruity sweetness, I’d say fructose and probably be wrong, but really - the note is fruity, but other than the sweetness, it provides only microscopically tiny amounts of anything resembling grape taste. Noted some notes of alcohol? Meh. Without major flaws, but very underwhelming in any case - a gimmick beer.

04/08 On tap @Eleszto, Budapest. 5.4% ABV claimed. It poured clear dark reddish brown body with corresponding medium sized head. Coffee and barnyard aroma, flowery with notes of cocoa. Flavor was balanced in between bitter and sweet, dark malt driven, both roasted and toasted, with coffee being pronounced more in the aftertaste. Touch of hops added to its bitterness. Decent dark lager, nothing special but with fine coffee profile.

04/08 On tap @Eleszto, Budapest. 5% ABV. It poured clear golden body with bigger head. Fine IPA aroma, orange, some toast and caramel malts. Lightly bitter flavor, at beginning more fruity (tropical fruits, peach), then it builds on the bitterness towards its papery and herbal finish. Medium bodied brew, a decent, although not the most typical IPA.

04/08 On tap @Eleszto, Budapest. Hazy copper colored with almost no head and almost no aroma; some fine toast malty notes. Flavor is lightly vinous, tokaji barrel aging, as explained by the waiter, was more than evident. (or extract as stated here, whatever is correct) Shows also some light caramel notes and a bit of yeast. Medium to full bodied, generally sweet after initial sourness with long, sweetish finish that rounds this experience very nicely. Pleasant beer, would score higher if it wasn’t so shy in the aroma.

Draught at Főzdefeszt, Budapest. Amber colour, small white/beige head, honey nose. Taste is sweet malty, some caramel and a strange fruity taste. Strange aftertaste, I didn’t like it much.

Bottle shared by Cuso, many thanks. Aroma is rather mild, not hinting what will come. Clear golden colour. Aroma Saaz hops. Taste really nice, fruity, caramel, unconventional. I would like to get a bottle of this to myself so I could explore it better.
