33cl can on a Wizz Air flight. Served at room temperature. Pours (in a paper cup) pale gold, with abundant white foam. Aroma is herbaceous and cereal. Body is only slightly thin, with moderate carbonation. Taste is decently bitter, with some malty sweetness behind. Final is average.

500ml bottle from a Polish deli on George Street, Aberdeen. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent khaki head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, malt loaf, dried fruits, fruit cake, milk chocolate, treacle toffee, roasty malts and cola. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy upfront, dark roasted malt, malt loaf, molasses, treacle, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasty spice, warming booze, some rawness, burnt toast and cacao nibs with a boozey, roasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Good boost. Has it's charms for sure.

Bottled, for $1.99 from the Supermarket here in Greenpoint, heart of Polish NYC. Holy crap, a revelation. Very dark brownish-blackish pour with a large brown head. Strong coffee and malty aroma, dark chocolate bitters to finish. Good stuff.

This one isn’t too bad for a mass produced int’l lager. Pours a pale gold. Nice head. Some grass and malts on the aroma. similar taste - a bit of caramel, light hops finish.

500ml bottle. The aroma is awkward and unpleasant. Captures part of the style, but pretty deep in Eastern European sub-par beer territory. Odd off tones make you wonder if this is safe for human consumption. Figured it was a safe style, but they butchered it. Cheap, but still a waste of money.

Pours light golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of grain. Taste is somewhat dry and ascerbic, more graininess. Palate is like any other international light lager, essentially nothing that would be associated with a pilsner. Eh.
