Bottle from het Biermoment, 33 cl sample. Hazy orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of lots of orange and tangerine, slight spicy yeast. Sweetness of tangerine and slight caramel, slight earthy bitterness, bit biscuity malt. Tripel based on sweet tangerine, which is my favorite flavor for a tripel. So, guilty pleasure, yes.

Bottle from ShivanDragon. Many thanks! Black colour, brown foam. Nose of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, red fruit, raisins. Roasty, fruity, light sweet and bitter. Very nice and well balanced. Great beer.

eerste biertje van het lentebierfestival met Youri, schenkt bleek geel/gouden met witte kraag. aroma en smaak van redelijke bitterheid, fris, kruidig, gras, stro, matig zoet, matige body, erg waterig. jammer, maar erg beperkt...

Bottle @ Benzai’s Crazy Carnaval 2017, 5-10 cl sample, thanks all for sharing! Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma is of a licoricey quad, with hints of roast and spices. Feels like they used a Abt/Quad recipe and added some roasted malts to get roast and licorice. Bit sweet in taste, bit dry in the finish. Quite tasty still, but as i mentioned more of a "droppige Quad".

Bottle @ Anti-carnaval Tasting. Brown to red-brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, liquorice, "goji-bessen", dark fruits, soaked raisins, slightly sweet-bitter in the finish. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle @ the annual Benzai carnaval bash. Dark brown colour with a head that doesn’t last. Smells chocolate, roasty, hint of liquorice. Tastes salmiak, liquorice, roasty, alcohol. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle at home thanks to Sinterklaas ShivanDragon. Slight hazy dark golden to light amber with good sized almost white head. Apples, light honey, apricot. It’s quite fruity, but has some cardboard and sweet pils malts too. There’s some notes that remind me of malt liquor. Bitter finish with some paper and dusty herbs. Medium sweet. Quite a full body here, with soft carbonation. It’s not a bad beer but the aroma is the weak point here.

schenkt donker bruin oogt zwart met bruine kraag, iets grof en slinkt redelijk snel. aroma van mout en chocolade, maar valt verder wat tegen. Smaken zijn redelijk zoet, graan, iets aardse en noten tonen, donkere chocolade, alcoholisch, licht bitter, licht pepertje, glad/smooth, veel donker fruit vooral pruim/vijg en wat rozijn, toch wat dun van textuur voor een impy, het komt mij meer over als een donker fruitige dubbel met chocolade.
