Description
Grutte Pier Brouwerij is opgericht door Frans Filius en Menno Feenstra (en Michelle Beerstra) die elkaar leren kennen aan de stamtafel van speciaalbier Café de Markies in Leeuwarden. De brouwerij werd officieel geopend op 15 november 2014. Tot begin 2020 was de brouwerij alleen actief als brouwerijhuurder en werd er onder andere gebrouwen bij Bax Brouwerij in Groningen en Admiraal in Aldtserk.

In Leeuwarden was aan de Slauerhoffweg de opslag en tonnenzaal, totdat er in 2020 een eigen brouwboerderij werd ingericht in Bartlehiem. De brouwerij heeft hier de beschikking over een kleine installatie. In de Brouwboerderij worden de nieuwe bieren ontwikkeld en de wilde bieren gebrouwen zoals de Bretttûne.

Bottle, 7.5℅ abv, thanks fatphil!. Pours amber. Aroma has sweet, fruits, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, cruits, citrus. Finish is sweet and alcohol. Overall: drinkable.

Flesje gedeeld met familie. Troebel, goudbruin bier. Weinig aroma, ietsje kruidig. Licht hoppig en moutig van smaak. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

This is a Tripelbeer, it is gold colored, little head and a nice palate. Overall a nice tripel.

Tap at WvhNLB2016 @ Grote Kerk, Den Haag. Hazy light amber. Very spiced with coriander, soapy, sweet, cardboardy. Yeast. Under medium sweet, ground herbal bitter. Draft at The Hague beer festival. Hazy Amber with an off white head. Aroma of herbs, spice, fruits, citrus and light veggies. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at NBPF. Hazy light amber with off white head. Vanilla, milky, some spicy yeast, lots of veg and almost rotten fruit. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Very messy.

Don't think the brett fully works with this. Bit acidic, but with an unpleasant taste and mouthfeel. Still good job for trying, keep it up!
