Description
The reason Jamie Emmerson and Irene Firmat started Full Sail in the first place was to build a company that was completely different from the ones where we’d previously worked. It wasn’t about business as usual. It was about finding our calling in life — about truly appreciating our “human resources,” and balancing work, life, family and friends in a way that makes life truly worth living.

Determined to make world-class beer in our own backyard, one of our first, and perhaps best, decisions was to invest in new, state-of-the-art brewing equipment. So we bit the bullet, laid down our borrowed cash, and spent the better part of 1987 installing the new system. Our love for the environment is what drives our sustainable practices, so pure water, local ingredients and responsible processes are poured into each and every tasty pint.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky brown-orange with a thin bone white head. Aroma of coconut, cherry, bourbon, cola, wood. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly tart, with flavors matching the aroma. Somewhat soft carbonation. Holy hellballs this is good. Completely unexpected and blown away here.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy golden with a one finger cream-white head with great retention and sheeting lace. Taste is lightly bittersweet with lots of citrusy flavors. Aroma is kind of muted, though. Good stuff.

awesome nose of dark chocolate roasted malt bourbona vanilla and oak. But mourn feel is way off, too light too carbonated , tons of bourbon but too bitter with big roasted malt and vanilla finish. Starts good and then....

Very hazy light amber color. Nice sweet juicy nose, with mangoes and apricots. Mouth feel is a bit too carbonated, but still enjoyable. Low medium bitterness.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Hazy, medium golden with a small, tight creamy head. Light aroma, biscuit malts, citrusy hops. Taste brings more citrus , light citrusy hops too. Bitterness gets some mild dank and piney notes. Nice feel.
