Description
Craft brewery “Gorštak” (PZ “Gorštak” with p.o. Laktaši) was founded in late 2016 as the first craft brewery in the Banja Luka region and located in Glamočani near Banja Luka.

“Gorštak” produces natural unfiltered kraft beers according to its own recipes, combining modern techniques of craft brewing, traditional brewing ingredients, but also medicinal herbs of our region, spices, honey and more.

“Gorštak” is the result of great enthusiasm, desire and love for quality home-brewed beer from craft production.

The use of any artificial additives, flavors, preservatives, enzymes, dyes, stabilizers and the like is out of the question!

All the organoleptic properties of our beers come from a combination of natural raw materials and one essential ingredient – love.

This craft is difficult, but at the same time it is a great pleasure, because it is an honor and a privilege to continue the tradition of making beer, as one of the pillars of modern civilization.

0.33 l bottle shared with Marko and Anna God. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Mint tea aroma a bit overwhelming, but pleasant. Light hops underneath. Dry, very herbal profile. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, maybe flat, light finish.

Bottle, enormous thanks Gale! Hazy golden body, white head. Enormous mint aroma, with some maltiness. Fresh mint and clean grainy maltiness, a tad soapy perhaps. Nice enough beer, some tweaking and that's it. :D

Bottle, 6th Croatian homebrew competition, thanks Gale! Dark brown body with an off white head. Full, lovely nutty & caramelly classic brown ale aroma. The excellent nutty and caramelly notes continue on into the taste, let down only by a slightly flat finish. Very, very good attempt at the style and the best (commercial) Gorštak so far!

Bottled at the 6th Croatian homebrew competition. Thanks Gale! Citric aroma, light berry, herbal hoppy touches. Fruity hoppy aromas on a lighter sweetish malty background. Creamy, okay.

Bottled at the 6th Croatian homebrew competition. Thanks Gale! Murky yellow I think. Light citric hoppiness in the aroma. Creamy, light taste, vaguely citric, ending a bit chalky. Not bad, not thrilling. Could use a better hoppy balance.
