(Can) Pours hazy amber with no head. Aroma of cream and toffee. Smooth medium body with bright, rather fizzy, carbonation. Extraordinary taste mixing tart, sweet and creamy. There’s a pleasant tartness throughout the palate. Toffee sweetness and creamy flavours present at the start subside a bit through the palate. There’s pastry in the finish. This is a very unusual beer. I am not sure I really like it. However I found it very compelling to keep tasting it to try to understand it. An enjoyable experience.

Bottle. Clear pale red with a white head that's soon at the rim. Aroma of strawberries and sweet cherries with some almond, light bread, oak. Sweet with fruit and peppery oak, grape skins and a suggestion of sourness. Perhaps misses a little bitterness (or more definite sourness) at the end. Good.

330ml can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is big peaches. The flavour is moderate sour, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, tart peach, light herbal, light sweet lactose finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not so sour and with hints of sweetness. I can understand why this might be a popular beer, but for me it’s just the one can.

Why do I keep buying cold IPAs? Aromas of biscuit, pepper and some citrus and sweet stone fruit notes. There's some tangerine in the mouth and it has a bit of a jammy palate. But generally, it just lacks complexity BECAUSE IT IS A COLD IPA. This is my fault. I knew this.

Orange can. Orange with a white head that quickly fizzes down to a cm. Aroma of oranges - some fresh peel, some boiled. Tastes of sweet oranges, mostly. With them there's a leanish bready pale malt and a little bitterness. Medium bodied, lower carbonation than it warrants. Needed to be drier to be refreshing - and without that there's no point to it.

440ml can from the Chuan Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeasty and big quince I presume. The flavour is moderate sour, with a fresh, light, crisp, yeasty, quince palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Light, fresh, crisp and very tasty, with most of the sourness coming from the yeast instead of the fruit, which is a pleasant change these days.

330ml can at the Chuan Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a short-lived, big frizzy white head. The aroma is malt and piney hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, crisp, mineral, earthy, light dank, citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Not so bad for a session beer.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a brief head that's never quite a coat. 3- Aroma is roasty with iodine, caught dark sugars, stewed red berries. Only a little sweet with roast and smoke like smoldering seaweed at the end of a beach bonfire. Bread and light spices, decisive bitterness. After a while, some oak. Maybe as much like a De Molen stout as this series has been. No overt booze but you know you're drinking it. Lovely stuff.

Pint on tap at The Catfish, Fitzroy. Amber beer with a thin white head, the occasional bubble makes an appearance. Aroma of 'Sunkist'. Good body, flat mouthfeel. Finish is fizzy orange with a touch of late yeasty dryness. Very nice, probably not a sessioner.

The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, smooth, juicy orange citrus, light herbal, piney, light floral woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Slightly better than the first version!
