Description
We are OMNIVAR, a Slovenian family-owned microbrewery established in 2017. What began as a passion project by a group of beer-lovers who were tired of drinking the same old uninspired beers, has grown into a microbrewery driven by innovation and flavor. We develop our own recipes, which we have refined over the course of five years, and brew small craft batches by hand. We have a selection of eight beers that we brew regularly. Within the selection there is a variety of flavours to accomodate to different tastes and occasions.

Note: Own production ceased in 2023/24. Only contract production for others from then onwards.

Bottle bought at The Last Hop, Staines. So that's 100% of beers from Omnivar that have threatened to (or have) foamed out of the glass. Lively stuff. Opaque-hazy amber body alongside the thick but fluffy foamy white head. Aroma combines resin with stewed fruit and caramel. Medium bitter. Resin. Sherbert. Malty streak follows up. Light. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough but again way too gassy.

Bottle from The Last Hop, Staines. Aroma has sherbert with floral and caramel notes. Hazy-opaque golden-amber. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Initial sherbert sourness. Some vinous elements. Underlying peripheral malts - these gain traction and a sweet caramel element comes into play. Light. Thin. Fizzy. No, gassy. Long dry astringent finish. To be honest, this is so fizzy and gassy that only a small amount had made me feel bloated. It distracts from the beer's other facets... which generally seem OK.

Bottle from The Last Hop, Staines. Aroma is caramel and bready, with light stone fruit and spice. Opaque-hazy amber. Mahoosive fluffy foamy white head. Medium dry bitter. Resinous. Sherbert citrus and spice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long very dry and slightly astringent finish. The Hazy IPA description on the bottle made me expect juice but this is more of a Mountain IPA I guess. Only the mountains in question are geographically closer to the West Coast. The aroma also doesn't really give the game away.

0.33 l can from Že v redu, Primož, Ljubljana. Shared with little Dina. Hazy yellow to golden, minimal head. Aroma is tart fruit, tart apple or pear, lemony touch, a funky touch, pleasant aroma of a light fruity white wine, white grapes. Moderately sour, slightly funky, vinous, moderate carbonation, very drinkable, nice dry finish with a malty background.

Can, Pivoljub. Very pale golden, hazy, larger and nonlasting white head. Wheaty nose with gentler spices, lots of ripe bananas. Taste follows, gentler bitterness, solid spicy character and peppery finish. Slight citrusy kick as well. Gentler aftertaste. Lighter body.
