Description
Behind Bendorf hides the name of a microbrewery. A microbrewery, or an urban craft beer factory, located in the Neudorf district, in the heart of Strasbourg! Founded at the beginning of 2013 by Benjamin Pastwa, the Bendorf brewery has continued to grow and this is how four people today ensure the proper functioning of the young company: Soizic, Félix, Matthieu and Benjamin . The goal of a brewery is of course to create, brew and then offer high quality beers with strong aromatic power for tasting. Our beers are generously hopped. At Bendorf, we love hops and we love working with it in all its forms.

Bottle from Au Brin De Paille, Colmar, Alsace, France, consumed at Frank (camper) Camping Trois Château Eguisheim, Alsace, France, Monday 20th June 2016 whilst cooking chicken wrapped in Alsace Jambon and served with salad. Pours a warm orangey gold in colour with a white head. Some pine resin on the nose but also a little pineapple cube. In the mouth this is more citrussy than tropical, there may be a little tropical edge but it’s mostly orange and grapefruit combining with a nice dry finish. Good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Many thanks for this beer to Kevnic2008. Beer from France (Alsace) from the first trade with Mariusz. Danke. Piwo o ladnej trwalej i puszystej piance, kolorze błotnistym, sporo osadu i farfocli już nie aktywnych drozdzy. Sporo to piwo przechowywałem i pewnie dlatego. Nie mniej jest smaczne, chmielne, goryczkowe i przy tym lekkie. Suszone krazki jabłka i ananas glownie mi się kojarzyl.

330ml bought at Village De La Biere, Strasbourg almost two years ago. Black body with a deep ruby shade. Fawn-coloured head that laced well. Dark malts, ash and dark fruity nose. Rather rich flavour character of dark bread, wood, dried fruits and a backdrop of pine needles to the finish. Fine bodied. Good drinking (rating session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 19.05.2016).

Tower 42 Tasting. Thanks to Fergus. Hazy gold beer, good size pale cream colour head. Palate is very fluffy, over carbonated. Thin malts, some sweetness and some lactose like sweetness. Light Sorachi herby lemon. Thin orange. Light finish. Floral bitter linger. A tad messy but the Sorachi carries it over the line.

Bottle at home. Hazy amber with short lasting light beige head. Caramel, alcohol, dried fruits, raisins, some herbs, citrus and quite some alcohol. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit below average carbonation. Not that good, it’s not a tripel, and there’s too much alcohol. I really expected more here.
