Description
Shilling Brewing Co. is the first to bring the brewpub experience to the heart of Glasgow. A place where an appreciation of the art and science of brewing is at the core of what we do and for all to see, taste and enjoy.

Glasgow has been pioneering the perfect pint for over 400 years and the Shilling Brewing Co. is contributing to the next chapter in this story by creating a space where everyone can discover and appreciate beer, straight from the source.

This includes our core range of beers designed to be enjoyed fresh, just meters from where they are brewed, alongside a host of beers sourced from pioneering craft breweries.

Keg at Schilling Brewing Co, Glasgow. Orangey gold colour, white foam head and tropical fruity hop aroma. Taste is malt caramel, biscuity, with mellow orange and grapefruit hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

On keg at the Bow Bar. Appearance - damson and clouded. Thin but attractive white head. Nose - raspberries and redcurrants primarily. Mayve some citrus. Taste - big redcurrant note. Maybewild raspberries and dry cherry too. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry and tart middle and finish. Overall - what's the point in making a NE IPA then covering up all the hops with berries. It's nice though.

Keg at Shilling. It pours murky deep golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, sappy, piney, cake and dull citrus. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy, oily, sticky, sappy, biscuit, sappy, orange marmalade, dull toffee, apricot and peach with a tangy fruit finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit heavy, but not bad.

Keg at Shilling Brew Co. It pours murky reddish with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, creamy, jammy berry, Victoria sponge cake, tangy fruits and candy. The taste is soft, sweet, creamy, tangy berry, jammy berry, Victoria Sponge cake, grassy, spicy, lick of alcohol and some berry cheesecake. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit muddled. Fair.

Prototype: Passion Fruit Sour from Shilling Brewing Company

Keg at Shilling. It pours cloudy muted gold with a tiny white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangy, plenty of passion fruit, tropical vibes, mango and orange chewits. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, good mouth - pucker, sour passion fruit, mango, sour candies, minerality, mango, touch of pineapple and sherbet with a zingy finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Bright, fresh and sour. Probably my favourite shilling beer to date.

Hazy, peach-coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma is very tart. Taste dials it down a bit, with the crisp, sourness balanced by just a touch of fruity sweetness but without any of it getting sickly.
