Bottle from Beer 52. Appearance - golden amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - dried orange and winter spices. Taste - general fruit cake notes. Palate - medium bodied creamy yet tangy in texture. Dry tangy finish. Overall - good gear.

Bottle from Beer 52. Appearance - cloudy amber with a net proportioned head. Nose - orange, almost liqueur. Biscuit. Taste - more of the same. Bread. Palate - light bodied and tangy. Dry-ish tangy finish. Overall - ok.

Bottle from Beer 52, in what looks like a Belgian beer bottle, possibly Chouffe. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, but very savoury. Light toffee and biscuit at the back. Taste - burnt bread, light smoke and chocolate biscuit. Palate - Overall - good traditional style stout.

Keg at six degrees north Edinburgh. Pours hazy golden amber, nose is lemon, floral, mango, taste is sweet, juicy mango, some pineapple.

Keg at HL1, 26/10/18. Hazed golden amber with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is bitter orange, melon, straw. Taste comprises grapefruit, orange pith, soft bread, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly danko hop bitterness. Decent.

Keg at Craft Beer Calling 2018. Hazy orange golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and mellow fruity hop aroma. Taste is malt, grain with tangy fruity citrus grapefruit and woody pine hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

33cl bottle from the Beer52 box for September. A glossy pitch black pour with a fast-fading beige head leaving a thin ring; coffee aroma; thick oaty body with a syrupy chocolate taste; and some raw cane sugar to finish. A pleasant sweet stout.
