8 oz. bottle Liz brought back from the brewery. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma of bourbon/vanilla and dark burnt malt. Full bodied. Flavor is the aroma plus a little heat and something that's suggesting red wine. And there's some wood astringency. It's not overly malty, and heat substitutes for hop bitter. Exquisite might be the word for it. A little chocolate in the finish.

Capped 8 oz bottle Liz brought back from Ohio. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan smear. Aroma of cooking sherry and smooth burnt malt. Not quite full bodied. Flavor is heat, chocolate, sherry (not cooking) and some wood astringency. Fairly towards dry. The sherry becomes dominant as time goes on. Exquisite.
