Sample in a flight at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy brown, with a thin head. Dominant rye bread aroma, with some earthy and pine notes, and an undercurrent of pineapple. Low, citrusy sweetness, and an aggressive, but smooth and pleasant, bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, sticky, and a little harsh. Overall, this is not the most aromatic beer, but the flavor is fantastic. Strangely sessionable. Wish I’d had a full glass of this.
