At Walkabout Brewing We Have a Simple Goal:

Make beers that we love and share them with others. We see beer as a medium for making connections with new people while disconnecting from the stress in our daily lives. Rather than trying to follow new trends in the beer world, we stay true to ourselves and our tastes, and let the rest fall into place. We strive to make everybody feel welcome at Walkabout and work hard to give back to the local community that has given us this opportunity!

22 oz bottle poured. Pours a clear copper color with a thin foam ring head. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Sweet fruit and hoppy IPA, quite tasty. Doesn’t taste on the edge of imperial ABV. Overall a nice IPA.

Keg at Fat Heads PDX. 09/11/14. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a moderate beige top. Nose is toffee, light spice, biscuit, dark fruit peel. Taste comprises biscuit, nutty, brown sugars, dark fruit, dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modicum of booze peeping through. Drinkable but pretty basic.

Bottle from Total Wine, Lynnwood, WA; 7% ABV
Amber color, quite dark, with red hue; medium sized creamy head. Nice aroma, blend of caramel, leafy hops and pine resins; and a hint of frankincense, The body is lighter than expected; some caramel flavor, correct bitterness, but the hop qualities are a bit missing, and the frankincense touch (or cedar wood) seems out of place now; a lingering acidity in the final too is not expected.
Weird. But not bad.

On tap at the Green Dragon. Pours a cloudy toffee color with a medium beige head. A sweet nose of caramel and fruit. The flavor is well done: toffee, chestnuts, very dusty, light fruity hops. Smooth, yeasty. Good.

Ruby brown. Cherry and honey on the nose. Sweet with tree bark and raisins. Sweet but lacking something in the middle. Maybe it’s too dry. Has lots of oak.
