Draught at All In Beer Fest 2014. Hazy hay yellow liquid with a medium white head. Aroma of lemons, grain, pepper and overripe fruit. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of pepper, lemon and grain. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty nice.

Hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of grass and hay with taste of some fresh citrus, light white pepper and hay. Can’t say that the tamarind and sichuan is showing, but a pretty solid saison nonetheless.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in March 2014. Black with a creamy tan head. Quite a lot of coffee both in the aroma and taste. Also salty licorice, dark chocolate and dark malt. Creamy mouthfeel and with a dry finish. A tasty one.

Bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours tiny hazy blackish dark brown with a rather small dark mocha head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is malty and tiny fruity with roasted malts, heavy espresso coffee, vanilla hard candy, dark bread, burnt caramel, cocoa powder, brown sugar, toffee, coffee hard candy, hay and burnt wood. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter and tiny roasted acetic with heavily roasted malts, heavy espresso coffee, salty liquorice hard candy, moist soil, burnt caramel, toffee, alcohol, dark chocolate, vanilla fudge and banana bread. Mouthfeel is soft, velvety, round, roasted astringent and near full bodied. finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, ammonium chloride, espresso coffee, hay, burnt wood, vanilla fudge, moist soil, bitter chocolate, banana bread and alcohol. Really well done, a nice surprise! --- Beer merged from original tick of Barrantes Imperial Coffee Stout on 07 Oct 2015 at 19:18 - Score: 8. Original review text: Still holds up as a high quality coffee impy but it's high time for a new batch!!!
