Bottled, from Fine&Wine, Kotor. Clear golden, mid sized head. Aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with grapefruir and lychee. Mid bitter finish.

Optisch schön goldgelb und leicht opaltrüb mit sehr feiner Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone fällt leider rasch in sich zusammen. Der Duft brilliert mit schönen Hopfentönen, die von angenehm floralen, über leicht schwarzteeartigen, bis hin zu reiffruchtigen und leicht würzigen bis zart harzigen Noten reichen. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, deutlich feinrezent, breit und leicht karamellig malzig, sowie reiffruchtig und harzig, aber auch merkbar herb. Im Mund zeigt sich ein Körper mit ansprechender Fülle, kräftig-feiner Rezenz, seidiger Textur und einem ausgewogenem Spiel aus leichter, malziger und fruchtiger Süße und ansprechder Trockenheit. Geschmacklich und aromatisch gibt dieses IPA doch so einiges her... über der breiten, karamelligen Malzbasis tummeln sich florale und reiffruchtige, steinobstartige Noten. Hinzu gesellen sich leicht grasig-heuige und kräuterige bis würzige, aber auch angenehm harzige, pinienartige und schwarzteeartige Noten, welche einen sehr guten Gegenpart zur Malzigkeit darstellen. So wirkt dieses IPA sehr voll, vielfältig, aromatisch aber auch sehr rund, harmonisch und letztendlich auch leichtgängig. Der Spaßfaktor ist entsprechend hoch! Im Nachtrunk baut der Malzkörper gemeinsam mit der Restrezenz langsam ab und lässt viel Raum für ein leicht grasiges, schwarzteeartiges, sehr aromatisches Hopfenfinish über.

Can. From the Diskont Booze store just outside old Kotor. A mild haze on this slightly yellowish gold beer, good white head, persistent as well. Lots of Germanic like goodness to admire here. Light malts, fairly sweet but not overcooked. A light bready character and abundant floralness. Smooth light citrus, a mixture of bright and ripe with ripe winning out. Light finish. I dunno! If this was some obscure German tick, it would be getting good scores but it's a Montenegrin tick and ... well I'm enjoying it.

Can from Booze Discount just outside old Kotor. Near opaque dark brown beer, good and persistent tan head. Soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, mellow, a little soft dark chocolate cream, oaty biscuit. Light smooth tangy finish. Has a bit of Kernel dark malt character about it, not as sophisticated of course but, makes for a drinkable brew.

Can from Booze Discount just outside old Kotor. A mild haze on this deep orange beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little bit, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a modest sweetness imparted. Soft pine over abundant ripe orange and tangerine. Light smooth finish. Interesting. Like Professor Doctor, the IPAs I've tried from Montenegro, the ripe citrus approach, or result, again. Drinkable.

Can from the Booze Discount store just outside Kotor old town. Just a light haze on this yellowish gold beer, decent off white head. Airy palate, a mild dryness, decent fine carbonation. Smooth if slightly thin feeling pale malts, they have a light touch of the that German nutty sweetness. Some lager tang and soft floralness and mildly lemon tinted mellow citrus hop on the back end. Not much to complain about here, could be a little more bitter perhaps but, this is a well brewed and pleasing pilsner.
