Can from the Packie
Inky black with a decent sized frothy tan head that persists. Earthy roasty chocolate licorice and caramel with bits of dark dried fruit to counter. I'm not sure why this is listed as a vintage, but its tasty and takes me back.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy orange/golden, small head. Aroma of nectarine and peach. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Syrup and nectarine on fruity malt. Low bitterness.

Was saving this to commemorate my book on beer fandom that never got written. Oh, well. Rich, chocolate roast malt nose right off the bat. I do clearly pick up some bourbon in the nose, despite the description of "partial" barrel aging. Black stout body with a thin layer of tan foam. Has aged very nicely. Has equal parts bourbon and stout taste, and the nuts come up the middle, though I wasn't told it was pecan, I'd not have guessed it.
Drinks very nicely, which is a crapshoot in an older cellar beer. A little lighter than other bourbon barrel stouts.

Canned - too much sweet citrus up front, kind of like overripe fruit. Not a great hazy ipa imo.
