On tap at Synchronicity. Wheaty, sorachi almost non existent. Ok, but maybe not what it promised. Light creaminess, but that's it. Maybe ice cream in the aroma. Bit of vanilla in taste but no weirdness that I would have expected.

5% Bottle from Kyoto Isetan, looks like they had a Hokkaido Fair again recently so there were a bunch of different Hokkaido beers in the Beer Section in the basement. A matte brown gold in color with a 1 cm dense long lasting head of beige foam. The aroma is lemony pine with some diacetyl unfortunately (very very minimal though) and sweet malt caramel. The taste has bright sorachi ace but then the malt character is rough and diacetyl, again not too full on but it is obvious these guys still have a ways to go... Especially as regards packaged stuff, their sorachi Pilsner I had, I recall being alright.

Tap at Osaka Beer Fes 2017. Rich malt nose, Czech style it seems, a bit of diacetyl. Low hopping, rich, sweet Cz style maltiness, a touch of spice and lemon hopping. Decent. 6/3/7/3/13

Tap at GJBF Osaka 2016. Nice enough nose, rich, juicy, apple, light touch of diacetyl. Hazy gold. Crisp apple flavor, dry finish, minerals. Decent.

Tap at GJBF Osaka 2016. Cloudy orange-gold color. Slightly strange nose, clove, banana, something like extract. Plain. Ok wheat flavor but thin. Oily, thin palate.

Tap at GJBF Osaka 2016. Pretty orange color, hay. Nose is minerals, pepper, some herbal hops. Rather lemony flavor, some fruit, bitter finish. Not quite there.

On tap at GJBF 2016. I’m guessing there isn’t more than 10-20% malt in this as it seems like a cider. A very light gold with a rich yeasty cider like apple aroma. The taste is cinnamon and juicy apple with a light dry body. Good stuff. 3.5-3.6

On tap at Synchronicity in Yokohama. It pours a clear gold with a thick creamy white head of foam. It’s got a big bready aroma with a light herbal hop bite. Light bodied with a nutty, honey and malty flavor with a crisp hoppy bite. A very solid pils.
