First up is: Arimoto Richard Pilsner 5% Matte gold with a thick rocky head of foam. The initial whiff was skunky. Medium bodied. The taste is earthy herbal and kind of skunky making me think of a macro brew.

Tap at BeerFes Osaka 2019. Hazy, murky orange color. Fruity nose, diacetyl and apples--acetaldehyde. Sweet, butter apple flavor with caramel. Very rough.

Tap at BeerFes Osaka 2019. Made with pilsner malt, Cascade hops, but ale yeast. Hazy gold. Nose is diacetyl and biscuity malt, honey, lemon. Comes off a bit Czech-like. Sweet and rich, lemon and butter and biscuit flavor. Not terrible, but too much diacetyl.
