Good pint, nothing groundbreaking but hits all the notes you want in a pils, offering up floral bitterness and a grassy middle with modest lemon-apple lager esters adding depth. Grainy malts provide a modestly sweet base, and the finish grows dry and yeasty. The Huell Melons are a nice touch as well, giving a fruity canteloupe and berry backbone to the hops. Not quite as crisp and clean as a great pilsener should be, but very drinkable regardless. Pours a pretty straw gold with a thin white head and slight lace. Perfect pils texture is light and perky. Lemon, apple, and grass on the nose. Not bad.

Disappointing pale from New Realm, a bit more of an old-school IPA than a pale ale, with a outsized piney bitterness that makes me long for the more even-keeled Sierra Nevada-style Cascade bomb. Modest notes of grapefruit and orange, but mostly piney resin and a sturdy caramel base. Not bad, just...dull. Gorgeous pour, though, coming out a deep gold with a fluffy white head and loads of lacing. Nondescript nose leaves much to be desired. Good feel, but I had higher hopes for this pint.

Damn fine flagship IPA from New Realm, with a surprising melon streak offsetting the tropical-citrus hop profile and the firm biscuit-caramel malt base. Grapefruit, berries, and soap pop up as well, while the finish offers up tons of Pacific Northwest pine and a clingy, firm bitterness. Pours a sexy gold with a thick white head and endless lacing. Pine, citrus, and peach on the nose. Absolutely perfect creamy, oily texture. Can't wait to drink more from this brewery.
