Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Malt, floral hops and fruit in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, mild floral hop and fruit. The finish is clean with a fruit and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Dark brown pour with a medium beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, caramel, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Dark copper pour with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Malty and fruity aroma with yeast in the background. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, dark fruit and earthy yeast. Slightly oxidized on the finish with a fruity and malty aftertaste. Still don't know what "decocted" means but a good beer either way.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a smaller, tan head. The aroma is cocoa, chicory, light charcoal, toasted coconut, and black pepper. Sweet and yeasty, with a mild, earthy bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and pretty thick. Smooth, complex, and delicious.
