Slightly hazy golden color. A touch of buttery popcorn and grassy nose. Super clean body, modestly aggressive bitterness, nice grassiness with decent butter popcorn. Dry bitter finish. Perfectly balanced. This is by far the best example of a Czech lager outside the country. Amazing

Tap at Komachi. Bright gold with a low thick head. Clear. Rich bready malt nose, Saaz hops, grassy, herbal. Rich and bready malt flavor, light biscuits, lovely, brilliant hops. Big and full, a classic Svetly Lezak. Great stuff.

Another new brewery, this one’s from Toyama and appears to be into Czech style brews. Kobo Brewery 3A Lager Clear amber orange with a wispy head and a toasty biscuit plus malt caramel aroma. Medium to full bodied with a rich grainy character and lots of chewy malts then crisp fruity lager. This is a tasty brew, not a super wow beer but one you’d go through pints of on a regular basis. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Takumi. Glowing orange-amber, clear, with a low, lacy head. Nose is caramel, toffee, oranges. Sweet toffee flavor, rather cloying and a bit buttery with citrus hops. Unbalanced and a bit of diacetyl. Needs work.
