Tap at the Santa Monica Brew weeks, LAX. Pine aroma. Bit spoonsy. On the surface a great IPA but astringent ending.

LAX draught, 12/11/22. Bronze-maize,slight haze. Small, white head sits at cover. Kind of malt forward, with caramel, orange and lemon. Some sweaty, mineral, marmalade and lots of sweet white bread, but not too resinous or piney. Pine and strong lemon with soft, white bread malts. More pine, more lemon, some unripe tropical notes. Softly malty, lots of sweat and very light resin. As far as the style goes, this is great. Pushing it on bitterness but without overdoing it. That white bread malt is pretty boring and the general lack of fruitiness isnt very interesting (aka west coast IPAs suck). But it's clean and malty.

Draught at LAX, 12/11/22. Eagerly anticipating this after reading Ernest's 1.6 review! Deep golden-maize, clear. Small, poorly retained, white head. Some sharp esters or other fermentation character. Crackery grains though I'm not getting DMS. Maybe a bit of glue, maybe some vanilla.... Grainy, cereal malt character, somewhat sharp, rather sour and quite macro-like. Odd they seem to be making good quality IPAs, but then put out this crap. Just needs more lagering and a bit better malt extraction; don't think there's anything too crazy wrong here otherwise.

LAX draught, 12/11/22. Light haze, lemony-gild with spotty, white head. Very fruity American hopped nose. Not much malt depth, mostly just cracker. Some lemon and white bread. No booze, clean enough. Fruity, hoppy, moderately bitter with spice, pine and citrus. Malt depth very lacking with cracker and almost paper. Dry, but undermalted with an almost scratchy texture exacerbated by all this hop. But it's still passable as a hoppy pale ale, if you look at it that way.

LAX draught, 12/8/22. Mostly clear golden-copper. No head. Rich cereal malt with cacao and light vanilla. Low lactose. Clean enough, though without much balancing the sweetness. Soft, malty, clean, cacao-forward with low vanilla and lactose. Some fruitiness. It's like the blonde stouts, just no real bitter element available to balance, though this is far from cloying or problematic. The cacao goes a long way. But yes, it's still pretty weird.

LAX draught, 12/8/22. Low haze, brass-copper. Small, white head. Kiwi, lychee, white wine...lovely. Really fresh and tropical with no resin, twang or any nonsense. No alcohol. Biscuit and cracker, sparse, but all the hop aromatics are bright and need no malt balance. White grape, gentle but appropriate bitterness and white bread like malts. Good balance, soft malt and good depth and attenuation. Green papaya, white wine and soft biscuit.

Draught at LAX, 12/8/22. Heavily hazy, muted bronze. Small, off-white head, no retention. Juicy, tropical, quite estery with soft, bread and have bey-like malt. Not sharp or boozey. Soft, juicy, malty, clean. Wow. Impressed with random airport hazy dipa...tons of Citra, no resin or alcohol. Big maltiness and super soft texture is the highlight but it's still amply hopped and balanced. Hops are juicy and citrusy, not overly complex but no twang, onion, resin.

Can. Clear light yellow beer with medium head. Citrusy, bit stale, bit too old too.
