Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy tan head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with notes of nut and vague fruit. The flavor was dry and roasty with notes of nut, coffee and the faintest hint of fruit. Long dry and roasty nut and coffee finish. Medium body. Decent but disappointing.

22oz bottle I picked up at Pizza Boy’s bottle shop. Pours an inky black with some thick, brown head. Nose is to the point, huge milk chocolate, dry roasted peanuts, lacto sugar, malt, a little cola. Flavor is more mild than the nose, still plenty of milk chocolate, still some distinct dry roasted peanut, molasses, cola. Full, sweet finish. Kitschy.

More coffee than chocolate. Still good.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces slightly. Aroma has a great peanut butter with a bit of bitter chocolate and a hint of dark grains. Flavor has more of the same with a great combination of dark chocolate and peanut butter with a hint of dark grains.

Smells like a delightful peanut butter and jelly sandwich, slightly disappointing on the jelly flavor. Heja BvB!
