CBB Autumn Apple Ale 5%
It looks like mulled apple cider and has a baked apple aroma. Medium bodied but dry with very sharp carbonation. The flavor is Apple sweet baked apple. Not complex but a fun fall beer.

Tap at Bakuon 2025. Bright, brilliant gold. Rich malt nose, light noble hops. Clean, malty, you can sense the strength, good balance. Well done.

CBB Dortmunder/export
This golden amber colored beer is crisp and malty with an earthy sweetness. Great lager.

CBB Irish Red Ale 4.4% 700¥ half pint
A murky brown pour with no foam wasn’t so enticing but the aroma has biscuit and tobacco leaf notes. Light bodied with a scratchy carbonation and the taste is tobacco leaf, brown sugar banana bread and light cocoa/caramel malt notes. Pretty nice but I’d prefer a smoother body and it feels a touch more brown ale than red ale.

I got this on sale for 500¥ at CBB MOTHER TREE.
This is one of their OG beers, a spot on lavender camomile saison that evokes spring and sunshine. If nearby you should totally grab one.

CBB Northern English Brown Ale 2025

Murky orange Brien with the tiniest wisp of tan foam. Malty aroma and a medium- light dry body with raspy carbonation.
The taste is malty chocolatey with some mild earthy bitterness.
I dig this more than the Irish red but feel the carbonation is a touch aggressive and neither look all that appealing though both taste fine.

CBB LEAF 6%
Saison with Sage and lemongrass
Lovely straw gold with wispy white foam and a big herbal aroma. Prickly carbonation on a medium body. This is a top knotch saison with spices. Light but prickly so should drink refreshingly in the summer heat.
Prices at CBB LEAF seem similar to CBB Mother Tree and they do have a small bottle shop to go fridge.

CBB Blackheart
Black IPA 8%
Deep black with a bright piney herbal aroma. It’s full bodied and smooth. I picked this up on sale at CBB and I’m glad I did.

Tap at Mother Tree. Deep brown with orange tints, clear. Nose is rich chocolate and caramel with just a hint of smoke. Flavor is malty, bread, caramel, very little smoke. Nice Marzen style base, but not enough smoke for a Rauchbier.
