Full on yuzu but the saison part is good. Creamy.

Bit funky, sorachi cheesy. Not a great deal else going on.

Tap at BeerFes Osaka 2018. Big lemony nose, also herbal, more like from spices or herbal additives than from hops. Some spiciness but not particularly saison yeast. Lemony, herbal, grassy, thin. Not horrible but pretty fake tasting.

Bottle from the brewery, Furusato Nozei-style. Shiny black with almost no head. Nose is chocolate, berries, brown sugar, and soy. A bit phenolic. Somewhat sweet and creamy, cocoa, soy, vanilla. Not bad, but feels old, or a bit like it is on the way down. (It's only 5 weeks old). Cinnamon notes also coming through. Body is a bit too flat and slick. Not all that bad, but nothing I would go back for.

Bottle from the brewery via Furusato Nozei. Good score. Estery nose, bananas, cloves, butter, wheat. Rather grainy and a touch of veg. Slightly hazy pale gold, a bit unattractive. Slightly harsh weizen character, bitter and slightly vegetal with some DMS. Actually, super harsh, bitter finish. Raspy and ass. They call it a weizen, but add orange peel and coriander, and it turns out pretty strange. Very bitter in a strange way, but I cannot tell what it is.

Bottle shared by KL, thanks. Yame Brewery Green 5.5% It has a malty aroma with a certain green hoppiness. Medium to light bodied and semi-slick. A spicy green herbal pine hop character with some maltiness. Alright but not that well put together. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Furusato Nozei. Nose of grass, citrus, honey malts, some pine and caramel. Amber oranges with an airy head. Pine and caramel flavor, citrus, malty. Old school. No serious faults but nothing exciting going on either. Very malty.

Bottle from Furusato Nozei. Malty, spicy nose, caramel, bread, earthy hops with a bit of citrus. Rather pleasant. Cloudy deep reddish amber with a low, frothy head. Nice malt, bread, caramel, not very sweet, nicely chewy. Hops come though very spicy and earthy with a bit of citrus and pine. Well balanced and drinkable. Some cherry and apple in the background. Rather full body but not heavy. Quite fruity. Nice, though not all that unique.

Bottle from Furusato Nozei. Nose is slightly herbal, lemony, golden malts with a touch of honey. Seems possibly ale-like with some esters. Cloudy deep golden color with a thick, low head. Creamy, breddy malts, rich and a bit sweet but not too much, more lager character now. Quite rich and chewy malts, actually, and the tea which is supposed to be in there blends well with the hops for an herbal, noble spiciness. Body is full, slightly heavier than I would like. Slightly metallic in the finish. Not all that distinctive but not so bad at all.
