5% served in my Otaru weizen glass, it pours a lightly opaque gold with a thick fizzy-foamy head that leaves some soapy looking lacing behind. The aroma is wheaty, cloves and some light bubblegum plus even milder banana. Smooth wheaty body with a full mouthfeel. The taste is wheat but with a bit of rough graininess before venturing into sweet fruity and spicy weizen territory. I find it a bit too estery or unbalanced for me. The pilsner was more satisfying but this OK I guess.

Can from the brewery which apparentlyis located in a Hawaiian themed resort called Minna no Hawaiians in Izu. 5% served in a footed pilsner glass. A deep gold with a very quickly dissipating fizzy white head. The aroma is a decent earthy, woodsy grass but also has some grainy sugary sweet notes. The beer has a satisfying med-full body. The beer does have some of that sugary sweetness I am not so fond of but it is quite light and gives way to chewy pale malts, some herbal green hoppiness and a clean crisp lightly bitter finish. All in all a well done pils.

Can from the brewery. Pale gold, cloudy, high head. Grainy nose, wheat, clove, some citrus. Light flavors, wheat, grains, malty. Low banana, lots of clove and more lemony hops than expected. Decent but not quite there. A weizen moving towards an American wheat ale.

Can from the brewery. Bright gold, slightly hazy, medium head. Nose is bready malt, light hops with a bit of lemon and some hay. Sweet malt flavor, bread, just a touch of cardboard, some peppery hops in the finish. Bit of lemon. Decent, no off flavors, better than industrial jobs for sure, but could use more hop aroma and flavor and a bit more complexity in the malts. There is a decent bitterness in the finish that makes me happy.

Tap at Eni-bru. Pretty black color with nice lacing. soft, milky nose, vanilla, some coffee, some wood. Fruity, rather sweet flavor, nice bit of brown sugar and hop. Solid. Surprisingly good from a rather new brewery.
