On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops upfront, followed by fairly subdued fresh pineapple. Flavour is much more dominated by the pineapple, with tons of fresh juicy pineapple upfront that immediately give way to the aggressive piney hop bitterness. The astringency is rather harsh on the finish, though the intensity from the pineapple somewhat cuts through this a bit. Fun infusion but it's too harsh.

Cloudy orange amber under a large lingering off white head that leaves lots of tight lace. Nose is pine and citrus with light caramel. Light sweet malts support a medium+ bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Nice.

Cloudy and pale with a thin head. Quite a bit of mango on the nose, bit yeasty, and the palate is similar. Definitely liking the mango character here, even if the base beer is a bit muddled.

Medium brown, thin head. Light char/smoke nose. Similar palate...smoked oysters or mussels...is that a Steveston throwback? Touch sweet, touch tart. It’s totally messy but fits my groove. On its merits this should score lower.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. The hops are resiny and moderately fruity, a bit piney in the final, the malt is a bit toasty and toffeish, I get some vegetable bitterness note in the final though. Not very modern.
Good but I expect more hop brightness from Fuggles & Warlock.

Hazy, amber, bubbly head. Fresh and grapefruity nose. Bitter, lots of grapefruit with some biscuity malts. A fair bit of finishing alcohol. Good IPA

Doesn’t look like much...dull amber. Very bright aroma - passionfruit, sweet orange, great nose. Bitter, big malt, whack of alcohol in the finish. But that bright, fresh hop just stands out a lot.

Cask - Orange and fresh pineapple. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Pineapple and bitterness and some sweetness. This doesn’t really balance well, bitterness from the fruit comes of a touch astringent.
